The Heir Hunters reunite more relatives with windfalls

A new series of Heir Hunters got underway on History last week, kicking off a run which will see the probate detectives unit long lost relatives with their inheritances throughout January and February.

As regular series watchers will know, the show chronicles the painstaking research of detectives responsible for making sure the rightful heir is found whenever someone dies without leaving a will.

If no known relatives step forward, the Heir Hunters must hurry to trace anyone with a claim to the cash before time runs out. Failure means the money goes to Her Majesty’s Treasury and families lose out on potential millions every year.
