Becoming Human, the online spin-off from BBC Three’s supernatural drama series Being Human, is to be screened on TV later this month as a special 50-minute episode.
The show will air on March 20th, a week after the finale of Being Human’s third series is broadcast.
The spin-off stars Craig Roberts as Adam, a college aged Vampire trying to get himself back on the straight and narrow. The character appeared in the parent show’s third series before setting off to build a new life for himself.
At college Adam meets werewolf Christa (Leila Mimmacr) and ghost Matt (Josh Brown) and the trio become embroiled in a mystery that leads to more than they bargained for.
The show was created by Toby Whithouse who also created Being Human and is written by The Smoking Room’s Brian Dooley and Being Human writers John Jackson and Jamie Mathieson.
The 9-part series originally aired on the BBC Red Button and online.
Whithouse says: “We were delighted when Becoming Human found such a loyal and enthusiastic audience online. The reaction was beyond our most optimistic dreams. And so for the BBC to give us this opportunity to share the show with a wider audience is fantastic news.”
